因为。。。所以 Yīnwèi… Suǒyǐ – Because of this… that
因为我很忙， 所以我不能去玩儿。Yīnwèi wǒ hěn máng, suǒyǐ wǒ bùnéng qù wán er. – Because I am very busy, I can’t go out and play.
因为我很饿，所以我吃饭。Yīnwèi wǒ hěn è, suǒyǐ wǒ chīfàn. – Because I am very hungry, I will eat something.
因为天气很冷，所以我穿外套。
Yīn wéi tiānqì hěn lěng, suǒyǐ wǒ chuān wàitào.
– Because the weather is cold, I will wear a jacket.
越听，越生气。Yuè tīng, yuè shēngqì. – The more (he/she/I) listened, the more angrier (he/she/I) got.
我越想，越高兴。Wǒ yuè xiǎng, yuè gāoxìng. – The more I thought about it, the happier I am.
他越运动，越渴。Tā yuè yùndòng, yuè kě. – The more he exerciseed, the more thirsty he got.
