Chinese future tense – figure out the differences between huì and yào

– will do [objective, emphasizes a fact that something will happen in future

– will be going to do [subjective, to express subjective consciousness]

明年我会去中国。

明年我要去中国。

Míngnián wǒ huì qù zhōngguó. Míngnián wǒ yào qù zhōngguó.

– I will go to China next year.

I am going to China next year.

稍候我们会联系你。Shāo hòu wǒmen huì liánxì nǐ. – We will contact you later.

下周你会收到提供。Xià zhōu nǐ huì shōu dào tígōng. – You will get the offer next week.

明天我会还给你。Míngtiān wǒ huì huán gěi nǐ. – I will give it back to you tomorrow.

下周我要去上海。你会在上海吗?Xià zhōu wǒ yào qù shànghǎi. Nǐ huì zài shànghǎi ma?  – I’m going to Shanghai next week. Will you be in Shanghai?

我会在家等你。Wǒ huì zàijiā děng nǐ. – I will wait for you at home.
